Lean burn mixture combustion of gas engine is an effective approach for reducing emissions and gas consumption. Due to the difficulty in organize the gas flow in cylinder and the expected air/gas distribution, thus, the successive lean burn engines were concentrated on the 4-Valve engines. In order to intensify the intake swirl and tumbling motions, the intake system of a 2-Valve TJ376QE gas engine was modified. The resulted strong air motions are proved to be beneficial to the air/fuel distribution. All the models of our gas engines adopt such technical improving Gas burn completely, reducing temperature of steam through exhaust. Meanwhile the economic & performance of gas engine high developed.
B. Advantage burning room, Intake & exhaust system
After the company born development and research of Big Bus Single Fuel CNG Electric injection project and in Five National Science and Technical project, it also born development and research of low Emission CNG Bus and en nine Project, then born development of big commercial EURO IV Natural Generator 63 National project.
The engine factory based on WEICHAI strong technology and production ability, cooperated with international famous producer, such as America Woodward, WITCO, Australia AEC companies, developed and produced 4100, 4105, 6105, 6135, D226B, 6160,6170, WT615, WT618, CW200 series gas generator. A new technology called ATR system on Intake & exhaust has been developed based on GT-POWER software.
A research on the engine performance at full load, firing pressure in cylinder, pressure fluctuation in intake and exhaust system, pressure of muffler outlet was made using this model.
For the new technology of compound intake and exhaust system, the preparation process of homogeneous mixture for gas engine was numerically simulated.
In project machinery, the difference of axle journal gyro radius increase because of the diesel engine bent axle grinding cause the difference compression ratio of each cylinder. WEICHAI factory designed suitable burning room & Crankshaft for balance compression ratio of each cylinder. And the petal-type chamber has been changed to squish chamber for improving engine efficiency.
Above technical highly improved the reliability & low gas consumption.
C. Piston with lubricant cooling system
To counter the problem that the injection system sustained a heavy loss in energy and had influence on the service life of oil pump, an improvement on this system together with the piston seal was made, so that good results were achieved.
The pistons in using injection oil cooling system for reducing heat loading to insure reliability of engine.
D. Electrical Speed Governor
An outside-mounted electronic governor is added to a traditional mechanical speed-regulator, which is steady and possible to upgrade a mechanical speed system. All machines choose YSD model governor which import the technical from US GAC Company. The Steady Speed Droop <1% adjusted leading the frequency of generator power steady on 50HZ or 60HZ.
E. HALL ignition system
Under the analyses of the development state for the debris on-line monitor in gearbox, the paper presents a kind of debris on-line monitor, in which the Electromagnet is used to cluster the debris, and HALL Components are used to measure the changes of the concentration for the debris in oil.
The lean combustion and rapid combustion spark-ignition system was put forward and studied with the theory of spark energy conversion and the principle of energy superposition on the base of spark-ignition with capacitance storage.
All machines choose the HALL ignition sensors & high energy firing order 1-3-4-2 for 4 cylinders engine, 1-5-3-6-2-4 for 6 cylinders gas engine.
The engines are easy start even in cold winter. Easily wear parts like Spark plugs extend longer life more then 2000 hours.
